Rubadec is rubberized safety surfacing, which is applied to indoor and outdoor wet deck areas.

Rubadec is small rubber granules mixed on site with a specially formulated resin, poured in place and troweled to accommodate the surface substrate.

Rubadec is used anywhere that needs a permanent, non-slip, resilient surface. Rubadec creates a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing surface for many spaces.

Certified, trained installers apply Rubadec . There are usually two installers and one mixer on site depending on the size of the installation. The rubber granules arrive in bags and the resin in buckets. It is then mixed and hand-troweled on site to the specifications of the client.

Rubadec surfaces are usable after a 24 hour drying period in most conditions.

Rubadec is non-slip even when wet, just the same as the theory behind the rubber bath mat.

Rubadec has standard rubber surfacing colours for your convenience, however, custom mixes are also available.

Rubadec can be installed on most solid surfaces such as concrete, tarmac, wood, aluminum and steel. It can also be installed on compacted crushed stone for creating Rubadec swimming pool decks.

Rubadec surfacing is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Rubadec surfaces have been proven to cope with the harshest environment including the scorching deserts of Arizona and the harsh winters of Canada.

Rubadec is cooler than concrete and tarmac in the heat of summer because the pores trap moisture and create airflow that helps retain its low surface temperature. Because of the nature of rubber it does not absorb heat or cold like cement or rock products do. The color of your surface will also affect the temperature of your surface. Lighter colors, like white and beige, absorb less heat than darker colors, like black or dark grey.

Rubadec surfaces have been designed and thoroughly tested to remain stable in all weather conditions.

Rubadec surfaces are UV stable and are frequently used in Australia which is one of the harshest environments for ultra violet light.

Rubadec has undergone many tests over the years including UV stability, critical fall heights, stain resistance and fungus & bacteria growth. Each test has passed with flying colors. All Rubadec rubber surfacing materials have ISO 9002 certification and have been tested by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF).

The water filters through to the sub-base and will drain in the same direction it is sloped.

Rubber safety surfaces require regular cleaning. Pressure washing is the most commonly used procedure for cleaning rubber surfaces. Sometimes mild soap and water sprayed with the garden hose is all that is necessary. For stubborn stains, Rubadec offers a product called Softwash of which you can ask your installer for cleaning instructions.

Because Rubadec is a rubber-based material, cutting out the damaged area and re-pouring the safety rubber and resin mixture will make repairs to the surface easy, un-noticeable and aesthetically pleasing. A certified rubber safety surface installer usually performs this function. Repairs are un-noticeable with Rubadec and the new material blends in with the original surface.

Independent Contractors may offer a limited warranty on the installation, it is up to them to specify the amount of time the installation is warranted till. Rubadec offers no installation warranty to customers.

This depends on the surface. If it is our sealed surface for food prep and organic materials areas you can use any type of conventional mop to clean the surface. With our porous surface for entry ways, locker rooms, etc a steam cleaner is recommended.

Rubadec is applied at a quarter (1/4) inch thick.

It will stick to most types of sealer such as epoxy and acrylic because our primer coat will make it re-activate and bond to the material.

Rubadec is not a DIY product as it is fairly systematic. However, if you decide to become a member, we have extremely comprehensive training on the installation of the product.

Yes. Salt/de-icers will not damage the integrity of your surface but may temporarily alter the color. If the color of your surface appears altered after applying salt/de-icer, simply clean the surface using normal soap and water. For hard to remove stains, Softwash® may be used.
